Summary
DescriptionWorcestershire Beacon - Armada 400 Years Celebration - geograph.org.uk - 82039.jpg
English: Worcestershire Beacon - Armada 400 Years Celebration. Taken from The Old Hills, 7 km ENE, on the evening of 19th July 1988. On the Worcestershire Beacon a hot air balloon flame was lit rather than a huge traditional celebrational beacon of recent years because the hills were tinder dry. Just to the right is the smaller peak of Sugarloaf hill followed by North Hill, and End Hill. The lights of Great Malvern lie between the main peaks of Worcestershire Beacon and North Hill. The orange sodium lights of the (new) Wyche Road climb up to the left of the picture. (scanned from an old dirty slide - apologies)
