English: Whitrope Siding Two carriages and a guards van stand on a section of track at Whitrope Siding, the result of the work done by the Waverley Route Heritage Association to preserve some history of the Waverley Railway Line that was closed in 1969. The two vehicles are, nearest to the camera 69316 a former Southern Region TSRB and furthest from camera 9400 a Mk2 BSO. A band of volunteers are working to reinstate a two and a half mile section of track from Whitrope Tunnel to Riccarton Junction. For more information see: www.wrha.org.uk
