Description
English: Tsujikiri no Daija, a New Year tradition of Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture. In the Horinouchi area, the snake is made from straw on 20 January and hung on thresholds to ward off bad luck and evil spirits. Exhibited at the Municipal Museum of History in Ichikawa.
日本語: 千葉県市川市堀之内の新年の伝統「辻切りの大蛇」。1月20日に作成され、災いや病魔の侵入を防ぐため村の入口などに掛けられる。市立市川歴史博物館。
