English: The Inner Harbour A view looking to the south from the ramp of the Celtic Gateway bridge towards the inner harbour. Before the redevelopment of the ferry terminal, large vessels such as the St. Columba / Stena Hibernia http://www.sealink-holyhead.com/ships/st_columba/st_columba.htm were berthed parallel to the quay on the left, and vehicles would load and unload via a linkspan between the two concrete piers. Stena house is visible in the distance between the piers. |
