DescriptionTall Ships 2008 - Albert Dock - geograph.org.uk - 1158749.jpg
English: Tall Ships 2008 - Albert Dock The northwest corner of the Albert Dock next to the lock gates between the Canning Half Tide Dock and the Albert Dock. The two men on water scooters were patrolling the dock for safety with so many people visiting for the Tall Ships event. The black painted boat berthed in front of the Tate is 'Jolie Brise', a class B 56' gaff rigged pilot cutter that was built in La Havre in 1913. It is notable that in 1925, she was the first winner of the first Fastnet Race, repeating the success in 1929 and 1930 and is still the only vessel to have won the Fastnet three times. More information about all the ships in the 2008 race is available at: https://www.tallshipsliverpool.co.uk/
