English: The Food Museum - formerly (and more prosaically The Museum of East Anglian Life) at Stowmarket has received something of a makeover in recent years, but in amongst the child-centric interactive displays, temporary event spaces and neo-liberal filmshows of burka-clad women learning how to farm sheep in Cumbria (I kid you not) you can still just about find the really interesting stuff in the shape of farm machinery, steam driven machines and a locomotive. And some of the relocated buildings are pretty neat too. |
