sign showing opening times Selly Manor is Grade II listed and is located on Sycamore Road in Bournville, Birmingham. <a href="http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-217669-selly-manor-birmingham" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Selly Manor, Birmingham - British Listed Buildings </a> Cl4-16. The old Selly Manor was bought by George Cadbury in 1907 and re-erected here under the supervision of W Alexandra Harvey in 1912-16 using old materials specially brought in for the purpose. Timber framed with plaster infill and some C16 brick nogging; old tile roof with big C16/C17 star-shaped chimney stacks. Three gabled bays of different dates, the earliest perhaps that on the left, advanced and with the upper storey overhanging on curved brackets. The centre bay Cl5 with two 4-light leaded casements with wing lights. A dimple inset porch between the second and third bay. On the left-hand return a small gabled wooden porch with unglazed 4-light windows and stairs to first floor. Minworth Greaves is Grade II listed and is located on Maple Road in Bournville, Birmingham. <a href="http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-217668-minworth-greaves-manor-birmingham" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Minworth Greaves Manor, Birmingham - British Listed Buildings</a> In part probably C14 and re-erected here under the supervision of W Alexander Harvey in 1929-32 with the use of much old material specially collected for the purpose. Timber framed with plaster infill; old tile roof. The old port consists of a 2-bay hall of cruck construction. The thin bay is a modern addition and contains a gallery. To Maple Road, three 3-light casements with leaded lights. |
