English: Ruston & Hornsby diesel locomotive - Helston Railway: Until this preserved railway gets its steam locomotive back together the motive power is diesel. This particular example is a Ruston & Hornsby 165 horsepower 0-4-0 diesel mechanical shunter built in 1954 to works number 327974. It was used by the British Sugar Corporation at Bardney and then at King's Lynn. It came to Helston via the Northampton Ironstone railway Trust and arrived in 2007. It is carrying spurious BR livery and number as it never worked for BR. The railway also owns a sister engine.
