English: Photographic exhibition (2), The Headrow, Leeds. These photographs form part of an exhibition celebrating Leeds. The one in the bottom right corner includes the location where I am standing. It is a view of the Headrow photographed in February 1942, during Ark Royal Week when the City of Leeds adopted HMS Ark Royal. The aircraft carrier had been sunk the previous November, and the city raised £9 million pounds to replace it. (Summarised from the caption under the pictures.)
