Summary
DescriptionNew visitor centre at Culloden - geograph.org.uk - 1032923.jpg
English: New visitor centre at Culloden The NW entrance facing the battlefield.
The slate memorial wall extends to the left, and each of the protruding stones represents one of the estimated 700 lives lost in the battle.
The new visitor centre was completed in 2007 and officially opened on 16 April 2008 on the anniversary of the battle.
At the time of writing, the OS map and Google Earth still show the old visitor centre, which was to the north of the new one.
