English: Meanwhile Gardens Meanwhile Gardens is a small open space on the south bank of the Grand Union Canal, west of Great Western Road. The gardens were created in the early 1970s when permission was given by the local authority to a group of local residents to clear an area of derelict wasteland, on a temporary basis - hence the name. They are now run by the Meanwhile Gardens Community Association, a charity, and appear to have an assured future as a valuable open space in an otherwise very built-up area.
