| Description |
English: Laing Art Gallery from John Dobson Street. The exposed brick wall on the left was once part of the old Central Library which used to be adjacent to the Laing and was demolished to create John Dobson Street. A concrete walkway, part of the 1960s vision for a 'two-level toon', extending from the Bewick Court platform used to hide most of the wall here. The painted art was applied both to improve it visually, and promote the gallery. A closer view of these is shown here 1190154 |
