Museum administration takes in care of expositions in three localities, the villages of Svobodné Hamry and Veselý Kopec in the municipality Vysočina and in the Betlem monument reservation in the center of town Hlinsko. Museum of Folk Architecture from the 18th to the 20th Century is type of museum in the nature, approximately a kind of open-air museum. The museum also presents craftsman works, exhibits show the life of the inhabitants and the way of livelihood. The museum was founded in the 70s of the 20th century, open to the public since 1972 in the village "Veselý Kopec" in municipality "Vysočina", with its original name "Set of Folk Buildings and Crafts of Vysočina". The founder of the museum was Luděk Štěpán (1932–2017), regional historian and conservationist of cultural monuments in the Pardubice Region, until 1992 also the head of the museum. The objects of cultural monuments in the care of the museum come from various places of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. In 1989, the folk buildings (Betlem) in the center of Hlinsko were incorporated into the administration of the museum, since 1995 part of the urbanist whole is the Betlem monument reservation. The exhibition at Veselý Kopci consists of one original folk building (No. 4 - the so-called Pilnova building) and several objects from various places of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, from the area so-called "České Horácko". Folk buildings in the care of the museum are also found in the village of Svobodné Hamry, since 1995 they are a village monument zone. Správa muzea pečuje o expozice ve třech lokalitách, vesnicích Svobodné Hamry a Veselý Kopec v obci Vysočina a v památkové rezervaci Betlém v centru města Hlinsko. Muzeum lidové architektury z 18. až 20. století je typem muzea v přírodě, přibližně ve formě skanzenu. Muzeum také představuje řemeslné práce, exponáty v jednotlivých lokalitách ukazují život obyvatel a způsob jejich obživy. Muzeum vznikalo od 70. let 20. století, veřejnosti bylo otevřeno v roce 1972 v sídelní lokalitě Veselý Kopec v obci Vysočina, s původním názvem "Soubor lidových staveb a řemesel Vysočiny". Zakladatel muzea byl Luděk Štěpán (1932–2017), regionální historik a památkář v Pardubickém kraji, do roku 1992 také vedoucí muzea. Objekty kulturních památek v péči muzea pocházejí z různých míst Českomoravské vrchoviny. V roce 1989 byly do správy muzea začleněny lidové stavby (Betlém) v centru Hlinska, od roku 1995 je součástí urbanistického celku památková rezervace Betlém. Expozici na Veselém Kopci tvoří jedna původní lidová stavba (čp. 4 – tzv. Pilnovo stavení) a více objektů přemístěných z různých míst Českomoravské vrchoviny, z oblasti tzv. Českého Horácka. Llidové stavby v péči muzea se nachází i ve vesnici Svobodné Hamry, od roku 1995 jsou vesnickou památkovou zónou.
