English: HMS Alliance at Gosport HMS Alliance (P147, later S67) is a Royal Navy A-class, Amphion class submarine completed in 1947. She is the sole survivor of her class, serving as the centrepiece of the Royal Navy Submarine Museum. As of 2008 she is in a bad state of repair and an appeal is ongoing for funds to restore her. View taken from a harbour tour boat - I think the photographer's position might be in amongst the marina piers nowadays. |
