DescriptionGolgotha Tunnel, west end - geograph.org.uk - 1609711.jpg
English: Golgotha Tunnel, west end The former East Kent Railway tunnel has an arch for double track, but only one track was laid. Most of the chalk on the tunnel floor in line with the second track remains in situ up to the arch springing point. Viewed in spring 1992, after BR coal traffic had ceased, but before the preservation body the East Kent Railway Trust had started regular running through the tunnel.
