English: Erosion, Cooks Cairn. Driving landrovers straight up the slopes has damaged the vegetation, the thin peat soil is already gullying.
The OS used to show the summit of the hill near here. It was completely fictitious. The bogus hill was even included in a list of 2500' hills for many years. In reality the summit is further north and lower. |
