Summary

Description
English: Clay Mills Sewage Pumping Station (disused) When this picture was taken the future was very uncertain and Severn Trent were considering complete or partial demolition. The site was deteriorating, asbestos ridden and the chimney and boiler house had structural issues. The chimney was subsequently shortened by 40 feet but has since been reinstated. Claymills Pumping Engines Trust (Claymills is the title adopted by the Trust - one word not two) finally gained access in 1993 and in 2008 celebrates 15 years on site with some 20 engines in steam.
