English: Apedale Heritage Centre Excellent local history centre with a leaning towards mining. The former Apedale Colliery is behind this building and underground tours are arranged. We were assured by the guide that firedamp was not an issue but we couldn't go below until the blackdamp had been dispersed by the fans. |
